Lianna is a doubled-n spelling of Liana, which began as a short form of names ending in -liana, such as Juliana and Eliana, "God has answered", and is also the word for the tropical "climbing vine". Some parents read it as a blend of Li and Anna. In the United States Lianna ranked number 1532 in 2000 and has stayed close to the edge of the top 1000 for a decade, at number 1105 in 2025.
