Laylah is a spelling of Layla, the Arabic name for "night", which became famous through the Persian and Arabic love story of Layla and Majnun and later through Eric Clapton's song Layla. The added h gives it the look of names like Aaliyah and Nylah. Laylah entered the US top 1000 in 2008, peaked at number 595 in 2014 and slipped out of the top 1000 in 2024; it ranks number 1,254 in 2025.
