Kora is a variant of Cora, which goes back to the Greek Kore and means "maiden"; Kore was a title of Persephone, daughter of the harvest goddess Demeter. The K-spelling fits with Kai and Kaia and feels a little more modern than the classic. Kora entered the US top 1000 in 2012, rose to number 465 in 2022 and ranks number 491 in 2025.
