Keren is a Hebrew name that means "horn" and, by extension, "ray of light", because the same word describes the rays shining from the face of Moses. In the Bible, Keren-happuch is one of the three beautiful daughters born to Job after his trials, and the short form Keren is a common name in modern Israel. It has stayed well outside the top 1000 in the United States, peaking at number 1240 in 2019 and 2020 before easing to number 2632 in 2025.
