Kailo is a modern American coinage that pairs Kai, which means "sea" in Hawaiian, with the -lo ending of Milo and Kylo, and so has no traditional meaning of its own. It arrived in the statistics in 2016 at number 5917, a year after the Star Wars character Kylo Ren made that sound familiar. Kailo peaked at number 1766 in 2022 and stands at number 1953 in 2025.
