Jovany is a Spanish-language spelling of the Italian Giovanni, the form of John that means "God is gracious". The Jovani and Jovany spellings became popular in Mexican American families in the 1990s. Jovany entered the US top 1000 in 2000 at number 989 and peaked at number 819 in 2003; it has been outside the top 1000 for years and ranks number 2734 in 2025.
