Jovani is a Spanish-flavored spelling of the Italian Giovanni, the form of John that goes back to the Hebrew Yochanan and means "God is gracious". It became popular among Latino families in the 1990s, in several spellings including Jovanny and Giovani. Jovani ranked number 877 in 2000, peaked at 695 in 2006, fell out of the US top 1000 in 2016 and ranks 1208 in 2025.
