Jhett is a modern spelling of Jett, a name taken from the black gemstone "jet", which comes from the Greek gagates. The silent h gives it an unusual look, in the style of Jhace and Jhase. Jett itself became popular after actor John Travolta named his son Jett. Jhett has stayed just outside the US top 1000 for a decade, from number 1687 in 2015 to a peak of number 1372 in 2018 and number 1715 in 2025.
