Jahseh is a modern name of uncertain origin, usually explained as a Jamaican coinage built on Jah, the Rastafarian name for "God". It was the given name of the rapper XXXTentacion, Jahseh Onfroy, whose death in 2018 at age 20 led many fans to name their sons after him. Jahseh first appeared in the US statistics in 2018 at number 2,155, reached its best rank of number 1,118 in 2023 and sits at number 1,270 in 2025.
