Jaciel is a Spanish and Portuguese form of the biblical Jahziel, a son of Naphtali in Genesis, whose Hebrew name is usually explained as "God apportions" or "God allots". The name is used in Mexico and Brazil and shares its -iel ending with Yadiel and Gabriel. In the United States Jaciel has risen from number 3923 in 2015 to number 2217 in 2025, just below its 2024 peak of 2146, with 64 boys given the name.
