Iyanna is an American variant of Ayanna, a name of uncertain origin that is usually explained as "beautiful flower" and has been used in African-American families since the 1970s. The spelling with I gives it a distinct opening sound, ee-AH-na. Iyanna entered the US top 1000 in 2002, peaked at number 866 in 2004 and has since settled at number 1949 in 2025.
