Isley is an English surname turned first name; it is usually explained as a place name from Old English meaning "island meadow" or simply "island", and it is familiar from the Isley Brothers, the long-running soul and R&B family band. For girls it sits neatly between Isla and Presley. Isley is rare in the United States, peaking at number 2100 in 2016 and ranking number 2761 in 2025.
