Iker is a Basque name coined in the early 20th century from the word for "visitation", intended as a Basque equivalent for the feast of the Visitation of Mary. Goalkeeper Iker Casillas, captain of Spain's 2010 World Cup winners, carried it around the globe. In the United States Iker was unknown in 2000, entered the top 1000 in 2010, peaked at number 190 in 2015 and holds number 390 in 2025.
