Enzo is an Italian short form of names ending in -enzo, above all Vincenzo, "conquering", and Lorenzo, "from Laurentum"; it is also the Italian form of the German Heinz. Enzo Ferrari, founder of the sports car company, is the name's most famous bearer, and it has become hugely popular in France and Brazil as well as Italy. Enzo ranked number 1209 in the United States in 2000, entered the top 1000 in 2003 and climbed from number 330 in 2015 to number 72 among boys in 2025, its highest rank yet.
