Ibrahim is the Arabic form of Abraham, the patriarch revered in Judaism, Christianity and Islam, and the name is traditionally explained as "father of many" or "father of a multitude". In the Quran Ibrahim is counted among the great prophets, which has made the name a favorite across the Muslim world for centuries. In the United States Ibrahim has been in the top 1000 throughout this century and rose from number 693 in 2000 to number 351 in 2025, its best rank so far.
