Honesti is a modern respelling of the virtue word honesty, which goes back through French to the Latin honestas, "honor" or "integrity". It joins virtue names such as Serenity and Destiny that American parents have favored since the 2000s, and the i ending gives it a lighter look. Honesti stood at number 8218 in 2000, reached its best rank of 2217 in 2023 and is at number 2942 in 2025.
