Henley is an English place name from the Old English heah and leah, meaning "high meadow" or "high clearing". Henley-on-Thames hosts the famous summer rowing regatta, and the name also labels the collarless shirt. In the United States Henley entered the top 1000 for girls in 2013 and peaked at number 511 in 2016; it has since drifted to number 1001 in 2025, one place outside the top 1000.
