Giuliana is the Italian feminine form of Giuliano, from the Latin Iulianus, a name of the Julian family that is traditionally explained as "youthful" or "downy-bearded". Television host Giuliana Rancic gave the Italian spelling broad exposure in the United States in the 2000s. Giuliana entered the top 1000 in 2007, peaked at number 296 in 2012 and has slid back since, to number 467 in 2015 and number 915 in 2025.
