Eulalia is Greek and means "well-spoken" or "sweetly speaking", from eu, good, and lalein, to talk. Saint Eulalia of Merida, a young martyr of the early 4th century, made the name popular in Spain, and a second Eulalia is the patron saint of Barcelona. In the United States it is a quiet heritage choice: number 5549 in 2000, a best rank of 2701 in 2024 and number 2940 in 2025.
