Eliette is a French-style diminutive built on the Eli- names such as Eliana and Élie, which go back to the Hebrew Eliyahu, "my God is Yahweh". The -ette ending puts it in the company of Juliette and Colette, and the name is far rarer in France itself than its sound suggests. In the United States Eliette has risen from number 4,893 in 2015 to number 1,245 in 2025, its best rank so far.
