Eliel is a Hebrew name that means "my God is God" and belongs to several minor figures in the Books of Chronicles. The Finnish architect Eliel Saarinen, who designed the Cranbrook campus in Michigan, is its best-known bearer. In the United States Eliel is used mostly by Hispanic and evangelical families; it entered the top 1000 in 2019, peaked at number 584 in 2024 and ranks number 586 in 2025.
