Drayce is a modern American respelling of Drace or Drake, which comes from the Old English draca and means "dragon" or from the Old Norse word for a "male duck". The -ayce ending borrows the look of Jayce and Trace. Drayce had only a handful of births a year through the 2010s and then jumped from around number 6900 in 2024 to number 1756 among boys' names in 2025, by far its best rank.
