Diyan is a short name with more than one source: in Bulgaria it is a variant of Deyan, from a Slavic root meaning "to act" or "to do", and in India it is linked to the Sanskrit dhyana, "meditation". Its sound sits comfortably between Dylan and Kian for American ears. Diyan was rare at number 7189 in 2015 and reached number 2950 in 2025, its best rank to date.
