Daxon is a modern American name built from Dax, taken from a spa town in southwestern France whose name is usually traced to the Latin aquae, "waters", and the -on ending of Jaxon and Paxton. It is a lighter alternative to Daxton and shares the sharp x that made Jaxon and Maddox popular. Daxon peaked at number 1352 in 2017, has not entered the US top 1000 and ranks number 2308 in 2025.
