Dakhari is a modern American coinage, a variant of Dakari with an extra h, built on the popular "-ari" ending shared with Amari and Zakari. The name has no established meaning; Dakari itself is sometimes explained as "happy" or "joy", but that reading is not confirmed. Dakhari stood at number 9321 in 2000, reached its best rank of 2736 in 2021 and is at number 2948 in 2025.
