Cristina is the Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Romanian form of Christina and means "follower of Christ", from the Latin christianus. The single-letter difference from Christina marks it as the Romance-language version, long popular in Latin American families. Cristina peaked in the United States at number 336 in 2001, dropped out of the top 1000 in the mid-2010s and ranks at number 1622 in 2025.
