Charlee is a feminine spelling of Charlie, the nickname of Charles and Charlotte, which goes back to the Germanic karl, "free man". The -ee ending marks it as a girl's name on paper, the same trick used in Paislee and Everlee. Charlee entered the US top 1000 in 2006, peaked at number 272 in 2021 and ranks number 417 in 2025.
