Bentlee is a spelling variant of Bentley, an English surname and place name from the Old English beonet and leah, meaning "clearing of bent grass" or "meadow with coarse grass", and today best known as a luxury car brand. The first name took off after Bentley Edwards appeared on the MTV series Teen Mom in 2009. Bentlee entered the US top 1000 in 2010, peaked at number 576 in 2012 and has since slid to number 1730 in 2025.
