Aspyn is a modern spelling of Aspen, the "aspen tree" whose leaves tremble in the slightest wind and whose name goes back to Old English; the Colorado ski town made it a glamorous place name. The y spelling follows the pattern of Kaitlyn and Madisyn and gives the nature name a more deliberate, name-like look. Aspyn entered the US top 1000 in 2020, peaked at number 812 in 2022 and ranks number 869 among girls in 2025.
