Anny is a spelling of Annie, the pet form of Anna, which comes from the Hebrew Hannah and means "grace" or "favor". The y spelling is common in French-speaking countries and in Latin America. In the United States Anny is rare but has been gaining lately: from around number 4000 a few years ago to number 2585 in 2024 and number 2861 in 2025.
