Amryn is a modern American coinage that blends the sound of Amy or Emrie with the popular "-ryn" ending of Camryn and Kathryn. It has no traditional meaning; parents who link it to Amy usually read it as "beloved", from the Latin amata. Amryn appeared only sporadically until 2021, then climbed fast from number 8063 in 2022 to number 2933 in 2025, its best rank so far.
