Emryn is a modern American name that builds on Emery, from the Germanic Emmerich, usually explained as "industrious ruler", with the fashionable ending -ryn; it also echoes the Welsh Emrys. It is one of several new Em- names, alongside Emersyn and Emry. In the United States Emryn jumped from number 2179 in 2022 to number 888 in 2023, its first and so far only year in the top 1000, and stands at number 1416 in 2025.
