Ahmari is a modern American spelling of Amari, a name of uncertain origin that is usually explained as meaning "strength" or "eternal"; the h gives it a visual link to Ahmad and Ahmir. It belongs to the family of melodic -ari names, such as Jamari and Kamari, favored by African American families. Ahmari peaked at number 1834 in 2020, has not entered the US top 1000 and ranks number 2305 in 2025.
