Adan is the Spanish form of Adam, the Hebrew name of the first man in the Bible, which means "man" or "earth", from adamah, the red soil he was formed from. In Spanish-speaking families it keeps the biblical weight of the original while sounding softer. Adan has been in the US top 1000 since 2000, peaked at number 286 in 2004 and has eased slowly since, ranking number 482 in 2025.
