Zhuri is a modern spelling of Zuri, the Swahili word for "beautiful" or "good". The spelling took off after LeBron James and his wife Savannah named their daughter Zhuri in 2014, which turned a rare variant into a trend. Zhuri climbed from number 4487 in 2015 into the top 1000 in 2020, peaked at number 839 in 2022 and has slipped back to number 1511 in 2025.
