Zari is a Persian word for "golden" or gold-threaded brocade, the shimmering fabric used in Indian and Persian embroidery, and in the United States it also works as a short form of Zariah and Zaria. Its bright Z sound places it next to Zara and Zuri. Zari ranked number 4975 in 2000, climbed to a peak of number 1753 in 2022 and was given to 67 girls in 2025, placing it at number 2606.
