Zaina is a form of the Arabic Zayna and means "beautiful" or "graceful", from the same root as Zainab and the boys' name Zain. It is popular across the Arab world and South Asia and travels easily into English, where it sounds like a cousin of Zara and Layla. Zaina stood at number 3269 in 2000, moved into the 1500s in the late 2010s and ranks number 1316 in 2025, its highest rank so far.
