Yohan is a phonetic form of Johan, the Scandinavian and German version of John, and so means "God is gracious"; in France it is spelled Yohann, and in Korea Yohan is the standard rendering of the biblical John. In the United States it turns up in Korean American, French-speaking and Latino families alike. Yohan has risen from number 6,305 in 2000 to a best rank of number 1,164 in 2024 and stands at number 1,259 in 2025.
