Wyatt is an English surname from the medieval given name Wyot, a form of the Old English Wigheard, and means "brave in war" or "war-hardy". Frontier lawman Wyatt Earp of the O.K. Corral gunfight gave the name its Wild West flavor. Wyatt ranked number 110 in the United States in 2000, entered the top 100 in 2004, peaked at number 25 in 2017 and ranks number 38 among boys in 2025.
