Vienna is the English name of the capital of Austria and means "from Vienna", the city of Mozart and the waltz. The city's name goes back to the Roman Vindobona, which is of uncertain Celtic origin. As a first name it joins the fashion for elegant European city names such as Florence and Siena. Vienna entered the US top 1000 in 2015 at number 926, has risen almost every year since and reaches number 434 in 2025, its highest rank so far.
