Vida is the Spanish and Portuguese word for "life", from the Latin vita, and it is also used as a short form of Davida, the feminine of David, meaning "beloved". It is tiny, bright and easy to say in any language, and the actor Matthew McConaughey chose it for his daughter in 2010. Vida entered the US top 1000 in 2021, peaked at number 965 in 2022 and ranks 1218 in 2025.
