Tianna is a modern spelling of Tiana, which began as a short form of Tatiana and Christiana; Tatiana goes back to the Roman family name Tatius, of unknown meaning, while Christiana means "follower of Christ". Disney's Princess Tiana in The Princess and the Frog gave the single-n form a boost in 2009. Tianna ranked number 485 in 2000, its best year in the data, was number 1279 in 2015 and ranks 1817 in 2025.
