Tahj is an American spelling of Taj, the Persian and Arabic word for "crown", known worldwide from the Taj Mahal. The spelling with h was made familiar by actor Tahj Mowry, star of the 1990s sitcom Smart Guy. Tahj has stayed just outside the US top 1000 for most of this century, peaking at number 1083 in 2020, and ranks number 1544 among boys' names in 2025.
