Sael is a rare name of uncertain origin, usually explained as a short form or variant of the Hebrew Saul, "asked for" or "prayed for", or of the biblical Azael; it is used mostly in Spanish-speaking families. Its one-syllable sound fits in with names like Kael and Sol. In the United States Sael has risen steeply from number 10416 in 2015 to number 2532 in 2025, its best rank so far.
