Rayaan is a spelling of the Arabic name Rayyan, which means "luxuriant" or "well-watered"; in Islamic tradition Ar-Rayyan is the gate of Paradise reserved for those who fast. The double a spelling is common among South Asian Muslim families. In the United States Rayaan ranked number 8031 in 2000, reached number 1978 in 2022 and stood at number 2247 among boys in 2025.
