Raeya is a modern spelling of Raya, a name found in several cultures: in Hebrew Raya means "friend", and in Bulgarian and Russian it is a short form of Raisa. The Disney film Raya and the Last Dragon in 2021 gave all spellings a boost. In the United States Raeya climbed to number 2304 that same year and stands at number 2854 in 2025.
