Quinten is a spelling variant of Quentin, from the Roman name Quintinus, which comes from quintus and means "fifth", once given to a fifth child. The Dutch and Flemish favor this spelling, while Quentin is the usual French and English form. In the United States Quinten ranked 691 in 2000 and stayed in the top 1000 for a while, but has since declined to number 2205 in 2025 with 65 births.
