Odin is the name of the chief god of Norse mythology, the one-eyed ruler of Asgard who hung on the world tree for wisdom; it comes from the Old Norse óðr and means "fury" or "inspiration", and Wednesday is literally Woden's day. Marvel's Thor films brought the Allfather to American screens from 2011 on. Odin entered the US top 1000 in 2008, peaked at number 327 in 2021 and ranks number 502 in 2025.
