Noelani is a Hawaiian name made of noe, "mist", and lani, "heaven" or "sky", and is usually translated as "heavenly mist". Like Leilani and Kailani it has traveled well beyond the islands, and the familiar Noel at the start makes it easy for mainland ears. Noelani peaked at number 1512 in 2005, has stayed between 1550 and 1850 for most of the last decade and ranks number 1842 in 2025.
