Nessa is a short form of Vanessa or Agnes that stands on its own; in Irish tradition it is also an independent name, borne in legend by the mother of King Conchobar of Ulster, and in Hebrew the word nes means "miracle". It has the compact, friendly feel of Tessa and Jessa. Nessa is rare in the United States, with a peak at number 2302 in 2016 and number 2744 in 2025.
